The experience 13

About the Experience

The experience is a first class gospel concert that serves as an altar for believers to worship their creator. It started as a thought inspired by God in the mind of Pastor Paul Adefarasin – the Senior Pastor of House on The Rock Church (HOTR).

It now boasts of being the largest gospel event in Africa, with a yearly attendance of over 500,000 people at the venue, and millions more watching online from all over the globe – the experience lagos is probably the biggest gospel concert in the world.

The inter-denominational event brings together creations of different ages, creed, occupations and languages to worship the creator.

The experience exists to provide a platform where worshippers can pray for the country and worship God together regardless of their tribe, denomination, creed or language.

This year’s edition marks the 13th edition of the annual concert. It is scheduled to hold by 7pm on December 7th, 2018 at the Tafewa Balewa Square, Lagos with the theme ‘Jesus, Our Peace’

According to Paul Adefarasin, the senior pastor of House on the Rock and convener of The Experience 13, the inspiration behind the theme is to highlight who Jesus is, especially in the world we live in today – the Prince of Peace.

In his words;

“regardless of the outcome of the forthcoming elections; peace is the ultimate candidate that we should all support and must be the candidate that wins. “Peace (as I know it) is not the absence of tension but the presence of Justice”.
