FIFA bans Nigerian coach, Amadi for match-fixing
FIFA has suspended Remi Amadi, the coach of Nigerian National League One club Cofine FC, for two years for match-fixing. According to Punch Sports Extra, on March 15, during the 2020/2021 NLO season, Cofine FC and Bussdor FC met at the University of Calabar Stadium in Calabar. The prohibition will go into force on October 5th. Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communications for the Nigeria Football Federation, confirmed this in a statement made available to PUNCH Sport Extra on Tuesday. Before the NFF's disciplinary committee, Amadi admitted to attempting to tamper with the outcome.
