Born Temilade Openiyi, Tems is a Nigerian award-winning singer and songwriter. She became most famous for her collaboration with Wizkid on the single ‘Essence’. She is an Afrobeats and RnB artiste with powerful vocals.

Tems was born in Lagos to a Nigerian mother and a British-Nigerian father, they moved to the United Kingdom shortly after her birth. Her parents got divorced when she was 5 and she relocated to Nigeria with her mother and brother.

In 2019, she released another single ‘Try Me’ and in 2020, Tems was featured alongside Davido on a reworked version of Khalid and Disclosure’s single ‘Know your Worth’. She had gone ahead to release several other singles including the famous ‘Essence’ with Wizkid.
