Five people were killed and two others were injured in an attack by a man with a bow and arrows in the southeastern Norwegian town of Kongsberg on Wednesday, according to police.
According to AFP, some Norwegian media outlets and a source close to the emergency services reported that at least four individuals were murdered, . A guy has been arrested in connection with the incident, but his motivation has yet to be revealed.
The purpose for the attack, which took place in many locations throughout Kongsberg’s town center, is still unknown.
The suspect was escorted to a police station in the nearby town of Drammen, according to authorities, but no additional information about him was provided.
The wounded have been taken to hospital. However the number of wounded, or their condition, were not yet known.
