Manchester City defender Issa Kabore has equaled the assist record in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations 2021 edition in Cameroon.

Kabore has recorded three assists so far in the current campaign, equalling Collins Fai of RB Leipzig.

The 20-year old City right-back0 who is currently playing on loan for Troyes in the French first division delivered two assists in their third-place playoff against Cameroon on Saturday.

He provided a delicious cross for Yago to open the scoring in the 24th minute.

He again made a trademark run down the right flank to produced a cross that forced goalkeeper Andre Onana to score his own goal.

Dramatic display saw Cameroon come back from 3-0 to take the game to extra time after substitute Abubakar scored his 7th and 8th goal that took the tie to a straight penalty kick.
