The Federal Ministry of Finance has been asked by President Muhammadu Buhari to refund the withheld salary of resident doctors for the months of September and October 2021.
Dr. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour, told State House media about it at a meeting with Buhari on Thursday.
He stated that the salaries, which had been confiscated as a result of the Joint Health Workers Union’s strikes on the basis of the no-work, no pay rule, had been allowed by the President to be given to the health workers on compassionate grounds.
