President Muhammadu Buhari has given the National Assembly a N2.557 trillion Supplementary Budget Proposal.
A six-page letter was sent to the House on Tuesday with the amendment proposal.
President Buhari is requesting that the National Assembly adopted a N2.557 trillion additional budget for petrol subsidies from July to December 2022 in the letter.
In their separate chambers, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila read the letter.
President Muhammadu Buhari stated in the letter that the modification is required to address several concerns in the country, including the Petroleum Subsidy, which must be examined.
He also wants the Finance Act of 2021 to be reviewed by the National Assembly.
