All you need to know about BBNaija 2019 Bet9ja Coins

If you haven’t heard that it is raining Bet9ja coins in the Big Brother Naija season 4 house, then we are here to give you that information.

For this season, of BBNaija, Big Brother has introduced a new virtual currency called Bet9ja Coins. Although the BB Naira still exists in the BBNaija house, the two currencies are different types of virtual currencies and cannot be used interchangeably according to Biggie.

Bet9ja Coins will be awarded as a reward for individual outstanding performance and also during special challenges. Five different types of Bet9ja Coins exist and each of them has a different value. The housemates are advised to use wisdom as they hunt for these treasures throughout the Season.

The Coins will allow Housemates who possess them to buy any item of their choice throughout their stay in the House. To earn these coins, Housemates have to be at their best, that is, from the Tasks they work on, to the special challenges that they will get to face in the BBNaija house.

Safety deposit boxes have also been provided by Big Brother for safe keeping of the housemates’ Bet9ja Coins. All housemates will each be given a key to a safety deposit box to specifically keep the coins in. What’s more? Losing a key may mean losing all the content in the safety deposit box and, wait for it!

Keys can be stolen at anytime, by anyone!

Any evicted housemate may either choose to give their unused Bet9ja Coins to another housemate before they leave or return them to Big Brother. The housemates can also gift their Bet9ja coins to a fellow housemate by either physically handing the Bet9ja coins to another housemate or by giving the key of their safety deposit box to another Housemate. If the unused Bet9ja Coins are given to Big Brother, he may decide to re-introduce the Bet9ja Coins into the house in whatever manner he deems fit. This will solely be based on Big Brother’s discretion.
