Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the closure of Idongesit Nkanga (Ring Road III) road to effect the construction currently going on in the area.
According to a release signed by the Honourable Commissioner of information and strategic management Comrade Ini Ememobong, the closure of the road will take effect today December 10, 2021.
“In order to ensure speedy completion of work on Idongesit Nkanga Avenue (Ring Road III), His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel has authorised the closure of the Idongesit Nkanga Avenue by Oron Road roundabout axis of the project.
The closure, which will last for 14 days, effective today, 10th December 2021, is to afford the contractors handling the project ample time, devoid of human and vehicular obstruction, to perfect the roundabout and its concomitants, needed for excellent delivery of the project.
Motorists and other road users are hereby implored to watch out for, and be guided by Road Signs erected by the contractors, indicating alternative routes, for ease of their movement around the area.” The release reads.
