Super Eagles of Nigeria are flying very high in the African Cup of Nations 2021 delayed edition currently ongoing in Cameroon.
One of the Eagles’ stars who is currently being tipped by pundits to win the player of the tournament Moses Simon has been superb so far.
His performances have never surprised former Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr as he revealed how he was pressurised to drop the Nice forward.
“When I was coach, a lot of people wanted me to drop him, but he is very important to my team. He puts the team first and plays for all with ease.
“I love his attitude on the pitch and he’s a perfect gentleman off the pitch. I never doubted him.” Rohr said.
Nigeria plays Guinea Bissau this afternoon and Simon will be available and may likely pull another strong performance.
