Akwa Ibom state-owned airline, ‘Ibom Air’ has on Tuesday commenced its commercial operation in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state.
Ibom Air which is the first state-owned Airline in Nigeria expanded its commercial operation beyond its state of origin.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel commended the efforts of the Ibom Air management for their work towards the success of the state.
Mr Emmanuel also thanked Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency Mr Douye Diri for putting in efforts to build a standard airport for all Bayelsans and for Ibom Air too fly.
“Just yesterday, our Ibom Air commenced commercial flight operation in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital.
“I congratulate our team for making this possible and I specially thank my colleague Governor Douye Diri for building this beautiful airport for his people and for giving our airline a rousing welcome.” Governor Emmanuel wrote on his verified social media page.
