The National male U20 and female U17 teams will depart the country today for National engagements.

Both teams are preparing to represent Nigeria in different tournaments.

The male U20 team will leave for Niamey, Niger Republic, for the WAFU Zone B tournament. The finalists from the tournament will qualify in the U20 African Cup of Nations, to represent the zone.

The WAFU Zone B tournament will kickoff on Monday, May 9, as coach Lasan Bosso will lead his team for the crucial fixtures especially after Nigeria failed to qualify to the 2020 edition.

The female U17 team, the Flamingoes, will travel to Cairo, Egypt for the second leg of their FIFA U17 Women World Cup.

Nigeria took an emphatic step towards qualification, with a 4-0 heavy defeat on Egypt at MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja.

Nigeria will play against Egypt on Sunday, August 30, for a place in the final stage of the qualifiers.
