The dates for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) have on Wednesday been announced by the host, Algeria.
Algeria Football Federation (FAF) took to their official social media page to make the announcement as the event is scheduled to take place between January 8 to January 31 2023.
The competition which is exclusively for footballers plying their trades within the shores of Africa was earlier scheduled to take place in 2022 but was later shifted to 2023 due to the negative effect of the Corona Virus pandemic.
At the U17 level, the FAF have also announced that the African U17 Nations cup will be played between April 8 to 30 2023.
Algeria were awarded the hosting right of CHAN in September 2018 and four stadia will host the event including The July 5th Stadium in Algiers, the Olympic stadium in Oran, The May 19 Stadium in Annaba and the Chahid- Hamlaoui stadium in Constantine.
