Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has been nominated for the February player of the month award.
Plumptre has been superb for her club Leicester City in the Women’s Super League in the past weeks.
Her contribution towards the better performance of the Foxes in the past weeks has caught the eye of the Barclays award organizers.
The 23-year old centre back was a rock for Leicester as she helped them keep a clean sheet against West Ham.
The defender has also scored a goal in February for Leicester with two wins from two games with a clean sheet and no loss.
Plumptre showed her class in her Super Falcons debut against Ivory Coast earlier this month and her form has seen a magnificent rise in recent days.
