The biggest gospel music concert in Nigeria is set to be held on the 3rd of December, 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Experience (also known as The Experience Lagos) is an annual free gospel music festival hosted in Lagos Island, Nigeria’s Tafawa Balewa<\/strong> Square<\/strong> by House on the Rock senior pastor, Paul Adefarasin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History of The Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first concert, which was started and presented by House on the Rock\u2019s senior pastor, Paul Adefarasin in 2006, drew 70,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert featured international and Nigerian gospel artistes like Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin, Lionel Peterson, Jamal Bryant, Mike Aremu, Dunni Olanrewaju, Dc Envoys, Gordons, Asu Ekiye, Buchi, Tosin Martins, and Midnight Crew<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Popular Nigerians have attended the concert over the years. Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Former Governor Babatunde Fashola graced The Experience in 2010. In 2016, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Oludolapo Osinbajo were in attendance. Nigerian celebrities like Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, and Toke Makinwa also attended the concert in 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, over 700, 000 people attended the concert. In 2019, Travis Greene<\/strong> recognised the event as the biggest gospel music concert in the world and it was attended by almost a million people. The same year, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu attended the concert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert\u2019s mission is to \u201cshowcase artistic musical performances, goodwill messages and intercessory prayers by internationally recognised Artistes, Icons and Luminaries uniting under Christ\u2019s banner to amplify the gospel and share His universal message of peace and goodwill to all\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement which was made on its official Instagram page invited people from all countries and races to worship God. it also announced the official hashtags<\/strong> for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
